This year marks a significant milestone in my journey as a developer. For the first time, I'm participating in Hacktoberfest, and I couldn't be more excited. The reason I wanted to take this training is that I don't want to face a situation where I become paralyzed by not knowing what to do or how to be of help. As the instructor wisely pointed out,

"It's better to make a mistake than to do nothing at all."

This thought has truly resonated with me.

Throughout the course, I learned several crucial skills that can be vital in an emergency. Being able to check vital signs is fundamental, and it's the first step in being able to assist someone in distress. Creating an open airway is also critical to ensure that the person is getting enough oxygen.

One of the most significant lessons was learning how to place an unconscious person in a stable side position. This is a crucial action to ensure the person's safety and comfort while avoiding potential complications.

Lastly, being able to perform CPR is one of the most valuable skills one can have. Knowing how to intervene quickly and effectively when someone's life is in danger can make a real difference and save lives.

I now feel more confident and prepared to face emergency situations, and I will remember the instructor's advice that sometimes the most important thing is to take action,

even if it means making mistakes, as it can be the difference between life and death.

I enjoy dedicating my free time to learning new things, and this weekend, I enrolled in a Udemy course on WCAG 2.1, which stands for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1.

I believe that accessibility is a crucial aspect of digital content and web design. It's not just about complying with guidelines; it's about ensuring that as many people as possible can access and use the information and services available online.

By investing in accessibility, we can make a positive impact not only on individuals but also on our company. When we prioritize accessibility, we open our digital doors to a wider audience, including people with disabilities. This inclusivity can lead to increased engagement, customer satisfaction, and ultimately, growth for the company.
